As often as I say it, I feel like I don't say it often enough:
Thank You.
Thank you for your effort, your insight, your willingness to risk and make mistakes and change your mind;
Thank you for your trust, for your sense of humor, for your curiosity;
Thank you for your time, for your attention, and
Most of all
Thank you for taking this learning trip with me this year.
I hope you feel like it was time well-spent.
Wishing you the best this summer and always,
Dr. Preston

sixth period
Man... I can't believe I have to miss another day of this class. I am seriously bummed at not being able to watch the presentations in person.
Since this is our second-to-last day, we can't afford any further delay. If you can figure out how to use the big screen you're welcome to it. Otherwise, please run your presentation on your tablet and get a smaller group to watch/take notes/offer questions, ideas and feedback. If you're an audience member, please make sure to curate the experience on your blog. You're the social media showing me what I'm missing!
See you tomorrow.

today i heard something i never heard before
I am hopelessly behind in curating this week's Masterpiece Academy presentations (I'll post as much as I can this weekend between grading papers), but Mario just said something in a way I never heard or even thought about. He was talking about milk:
"Cow's milk is great-- if you want to grow tumors. Why are we drinking someone else's milk? The only milk we need is from our mothers when we're infants. If you're going to drink cow's milk, why not rat's milk? Why not gorilla milk? That would make the most sense; we share 98% of our DNA in common."
Gorilla milk. Never thought of that. And I'd love to see someone try and milk a gorilla. I'm out.
