Why "Richard Cory" now, when most American Lit courses start in chronological order with creation myths and Colonial Literature?  Because the last time I taught this course, Robin Williams killed himself the day before school started.  And I'm not sure our culture is improving.  Please click the link & read the article by the beginning of class tomorrow (Thursday, August 11) and come prepared to discuss how literature reflects the versions of ourselves that only we know.
